Our customer is a family-owned company based in Harelbeke, Belgium, specializing in the design and construction of industrial energy plants. Since 1912, they have been turning biomass and industrial waste into clean energy, helping industries worldwide reduce their reliance on fossil fuels.
Their innovative solutions, including biomass boilers and recovered solid fuel (RSF) technology, support industries like agriculture, food processing, and wood production. They transform materials such as agricultural residues, recycled wood, and non-recyclable waste into useful energy sources like hot water, steam, and electricity. With operations around the world, they are known for our sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions, including CO₂ capture for reuse.

Are you passionate about electrical engineering and eager to work on innovative energy solutions? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and want to make a real impact? For this customer we are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join their Project Team!
Your role
- Lead and oversee the design of low-voltage electrical systems and instrumentation for energy projects.
- Work closely with design engineers, project managers, and draftsmen to develop custom solutions.
- Define key project components, such as motor lists, electrical schematics, and instrumentation details.
- Manage tenders, electrical cabinet construction, and cabling for energy systems, collaborating with site managers.
- Act as the go-to expert for E&I topics, attending meetings and visiting project sites.
What You Bring
- A master’s degree in electrotechnics, electromechanics, or equivalent experience.
- A passion for electrical engineering, with solid knowledge of electrical design, cable calculations, industrial cabling, and instrumentation.
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients and support project teams.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for short visits to client sites.
- A team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- You live in the area of Harelbeke (maximum of 40km)
