A leading company in advanced water treatment technology, is seeking a Business Development Manager – Irrigation Water Market to drive market development and establish strong relationships within the industry. This role is focused on expanding business opportunities in the indoor and outdoor agriculture sectors, promoting innovative water treatment solutions, and supporting channel partners and distributors. The position reports directly to the Irrigation Water Vertical Leader.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities in the agriculture market.
- Promote the company’s products and solutions to growers, irrigation professionals, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct B2B and B2C sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Train distributor teams on how to effectively sell and position the company’s solutions.
- Identify and engage new leads to expand the customer base.
- Maintain high visibility through an aggressive call coverage cycle.
- Establish new channel partnerships and manage existing accounts.
- Provide technical solutions based on the company’s product line.
- Manage sales activity data from various sources and formats.
- Prepare proposals and ensure proper follow-up with potential clients.
- Monitor and enhance customer satisfaction through direct engagement.
- Conduct field visits to project sites and oversee implementation.
- Participate in demo days, roadshows, customer fly-ins, trade shows, and regional sales meetings.
- Collaborate with consultants, growers, and integrators to secure irrigation project bids.
- Develop winning proposals and utilize consultative selling techniques to close deals.
- Work with the marketing team to leverage case studies and generate new applications.
- Ensure timely response to leads and inquiries in collaboration with the regional sales team.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and project status updates in the company’s CRM system.
- Achieve and exceed annual sales and growth targets.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in agriculture, horticulture, or irrigation, with at least 3+ years in sales or business development.
- Established relationships with growers, irrigation equipment distributors, greenhouse builders, and industry consultants.
- Proven track record of selling to global key accounts and managing complex proposals.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of agronomy, soil morphology, and plant physiology is a plus.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, Irrigation, Biology, Plant Physiology, Chemistry, or related fields.
- Additional sales training or certifications would be an advantage.
